Welcome to IKO/ISEN

Save a life, together.

The knowledge and skills required of each healthcare professional are becoming increasingly diverse. What is needed is not only to obtain national qualifications, but also to learn to be an authentic expert.

Additionally we offer “4-year practical education"- the highest level of specialized education, and ""specialist education"" - directly connected to the medical field. Our university has an educational system that no other universities nor other vocational schools have, and we will help students develop the ready-to-use skills required by the coming era.

Approximately 3,900 students are studying at SHUTO IKO, Osaka ISEN, and Nagoya ISEN. Graduates are highly rated for their practical skills and employment guidance they have received that reflect the needs of human resources in each industry.

  • What are the features of the education at your institution?

By interacting with and learning from each department, we will cultivate the ability to work together in the field. Additionally, by exchanging knowledge in each specialized field, we will be able to improve our own specialty and deepen our knowledge of each occupation.

SHUTO IKO, OSAKA ISEN, and NAGOYA ISEN are schools help that develop the students’ practical and specialized abilities, and all departments that meet the application requirements, such as the length of the course, have been certified by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology from the first year of certification. This is surely due to the fact that the educational content itself, which has worked practically with the medical, welfare, and sports industries since its foundation, has been certified by the government as high-quality practical education.

  • I'm worried about being unable to keep up in class.

There is nothing to be worry about. Our admissions screening process places an emphasis on the individual's motivation and dedication towards their goals. Passing this initial process ensures that you will be able to keep up with our classes. There is also a complete homeroom system all throughout the year where we will be able to closely provide support to each of our students. Please rest assured that we also offer individual supplementary classes.

In addition, we have a dedicated team of guidance staff members to provide international students with assistance. Like-minded Japanese students will be there to assist as well. We also hold a special course to help improve your Japanese proficiency, where an N1-level langauge instructor will provide direction on preparing for the JLPT N1 examinations. Our unique learning environment allows you to not only acquire specialized knowledge and Japanese language skills, but also receive advice on daily life in Japan.
